The worst innovations ever!
Here's an amusing read. What are the most unwelcome things foisted on us in churches? Ben Myers has asked the question and offered a poll, but the responses are the best bit. You can find it here.

Interesting list, but I think that often one man's worst innovation is another's normality :)
Having grown up in churches which used "Tiny cups of eucharistic grape juice" it seems quite normal, and other ways rather weird.
It was only when I started going online that I realised that others considered it somehow, um, evil. And I still don't really grok the feelings behind comments like this from the linked site:
"I was torn for a moment, but had to choose the tiny cups of grape juice - because, imo, it's the one that most directly undermines the very sacrament it is intended to be a form of."
"Tough choices, but I went with the shot glasses of grape juice. Talk about a violation of the sacramental mandate!"

And the people who object so strongly to the little glasses probably use little discs of wheaten paper rather than a loaf of bread, and see no problem with that whatsoever!
